Welcome

Welcome to our Web site. Finding this site means you are a part of the information listed here. This site offers you the opportunity to contribute and learn more about the Merwin, Hulbert and Company, a fine antique firearm.

The Merwin-Hulbert Association was founded in 1996 by Terry Wagner and author Art Phelps, for the love of Merwins.  Keeping the dreams alive of my departed friend, the Late Art Phelps, we can continue the research he started over 40 years ago.

The Merwin,Hulbert & Co. was ahead of the times with their precision machining and technology.

The years of production were around 1876 to 1891, but would still be a very fine example if it were a modern firearm. Some were still being listed in the 1894 Hulbert Brothers Catalog.

There are NO factory records due to a fire.
